The DOW falls back below the 12,800 level ending the session down 104 points at 12,720. The S&P closed down 12 points and the NASDAQ fell 31 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped lower at the open and traded sideways for the rest of the session ending the day down 18 points. Futures – DOW is called up 20 points, FTSE is called down 10 points. Oil has trading at new record highs over night and is currently trading at $118.18 a barrel and gold is trading at $922. Also keep an eye on the EURUSD as it consolidates below the 1.6000 level.

The DOW closed the session up 1 point as it consolidates under the trend line after the big move on Wednesday. The S&P closed flat and the NASDAQ fell 8 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 pushed higher at the open breaking through the level of resistance but could not hold on to the gains and fell for the rest of the session ending the day down 65 points and below the 6000 level. Futures – DOW is called up 35 and the FTSE is called up 20 points. Oil is trading at $115.09 a barrel and gold at $948.

The DOW continues to build out the consolidation ending the session up 60 points. The S&P added 6 points and the NASDAQ closed up 10 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped higher at the open and held on to the gains to end the day up 75 points. With a bounce off the current trend line we could see the FTSE testing the 6000 level again in the next few days. Futures – DOW is called up 45 points, FTES is called up 55 points. Oil is has traded at new highs again and is currently trading at $113.60 a barrel and gold at $928.80.

The DOW had a quiet trading session yesterday ending the day down 23 points as it form a new consolidation at the lows of the recent move. The S&P fell 4 points and the NASDAQ closed 14 points lower. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped lower at the open and traded sideways for the rest of the session ending the day down 63 points. Futures – DOW is called up 30 points, FTSE is called up 30 points. Oil traded at a new high overnight and is currently trading at $112.30 a barrel, Gold is trading at $932.50.

The DOW fell the most in the last 3 weeks on Friday ending the session down 256 points following lower than expected results from General Electrics, we now have the break out of the channel that we have been waiting for to get some direction. The S&P fell 27 points, the NASDAQ fell 61 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 traded higher in the morning but could not break through the 6015 level and following the news from GE traded lower for the rest of the session ending the day down 69 points. Futures – DOW is called down 10 points, FTSE is called down 45 points. Oil is trading at $109.50 a barrel and gold at $919.

The DOW pushed higher at the open off the 12,500 level, running in to some resistance at the 12,650 level ending the session up 54 points. We are still watching the pattern forming for a breakout for the next direction. The S&P added 6 points, the NASDAQ added 29 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 traded lower for most of the session but put in a strong rally to the closed to finish the day down 18 points, leaving a bullish low test bar on the chart. Futures – DOW is called up 40 points, FTSE is called up 30 points. Oil is trading at $109.65 a barrel and gold at $925.

The DOW continues to trade inside the consolidation at the highs of the current move ending the session yesterday down 36 points. The S&P closed down 7 points and the NASDAQ fell 16 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 has a quiet trading session closed the day down 24 points. Futures – DOW is called flat, FTSE is called down 25 points. Oil is trading at $108.60 a barrel and gold at $914.20.

The DOW surged higher at the open breaking out through the upper trend line and the 13,000 level, ending the session up 331 points. The S&P has found support on its long term up trend line, added 40 points in the session, as it also broke out of its upper trend line. The NASDAQ gapped higher and added 82 points at the close. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 added 165 points as it closed above the current trend line and is forming a double bottom. Futures – DOW is called down 20 points, FTSE is called up 25 points. Oil is trading at $92.20 a barrel and gold at $813.40. 

Nov 28

The DOW rallied off the lows at the open ending the day up 214 points. Watch the big number at 13,000 for a break or pull back. The S&P added 21 points, the NASDAQ added 39, but is still trading below the 200 ema. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped lower at the open, but did put in a rally to the close finishing the session down 39 points. Futures – DOW is called down 40 points, FTSE is called flat at the open. Oil is trading at $94.00 a barrel and gold at $812.50.

The DOW traded higher at the open but soon turned to trade lower for the rest of the session finishing the day down 237 points. The S&P closed down 19 points, the NASDAQ fell 55 points. FTSE 100 gapped higher at the open but could not hold on to the gains closing down 81 points. Futures – DOW is called up 100 points, FTSE is called down 35 points. Oil is trading at $97.13 a barrel and gold at $828.30.
