The DOW traded sideways for most of the session before putting in a small rally to close the session up 68 points. The S&P added 9 points and the NASDAQ bounced off the trend line to closed the day up 36 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped higher at the open but could not hold on to the gains and closed the session down 28 points. Futures – DOW is called down 30 points, FTSE is called up 10 points. Oil has fell back from record highs and is trading at $128.88 a barrel and gold at $912.Â
