Following the Fed’s announcement yesterday the DOW gapped higher at the open and pushed to the close to finish the session up 416 points and back above the 12,000 level. The S&P rallied 47 points, the NASDAQ closed up 8 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 jumped up nearly 100 points following the news but did fall back to the close ending the session up 61 points. Futures – DOW is called flat, FTSE is called up 60 points. Oil is trading at new highs up at $108.54, gold is trading at $976.30.

The DOW continued to trade lower during the session trading down near to the 11700 level ending the session down 153 points. The S&P fell 20 points and the NASDAQ fell 43 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 closed the day down 70 points falling down near to the 5600 level. Futures – DOW is called up 75 points, FTSE is called up 20 points. The DOW pushed higher at the open but turned during the session to end the down 146 and closing below the 12000 level. The S&P ended the day down 10 points and the NASDAQ fell to the 2200 level closing the session down 8 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped down at the open and traded sideways for most of the morning before putting in a rally as the US markets opened but still closed the session down 66 points. Futures – the DOW is called down 40 points, FTSE is called down 45 points. Oil is trading at £105.23 a barrel and gold is trading at $977.70.

The DOW closed the session down 214 points and near to the 12000 support level, watch this area for a break or bounce. The S&P fell 29 points and the NASDAQ fell 52 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 opened the session higher but soon turned and fell throughout the day to close the day down 87 points. Futures – DOW is called flat, FTSE called down 40 points. Oil pushes to new highs and is trading at $105.57 a barrel and gold is trading at $985.20.

The DOW traded lower at the open falling down to the 12,000 area where it found some support to rally into the close ending the session down 45 points, watch the 12,000 level for a break or bounce. The S&P fell at the open but the rally lifted the S&P to close down 4 points at the close, The NASDAQ rallied from the session lows to end the day up 1 point. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped higher at the open but soon turned to close the gap and trade lower for the rest of the session ending the day down 50 points. Futures – DOW is called down 5 points, FTSE is called up 15 points. Oil has pulled back from the highs and is trading at $99.72 a barrel, gold is trading at $966.40.

The DOW drops sharply at the open and continues to trade lower during the session to end the day down 315 points. The S&P closed down 37 points and the NASDAQ fell 60 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped lower at the open and continued to trade lower to close the session down 81 points. Futures – DOW is called down 65 points, FTSE is called down 75 points. Oil is trading at $101.93 a barrel and gold at $984.40.
