The DOW had the biggest up day for 5 years yesterday as it bounced of the 13,000 level, closing the session up 319 points at 13307. The S&P rallied 41 points. The NASDAQ gapped higher and closed the session up 89 points (3.5%). The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 failed to trade up through the 200 ema yesterday, closing the session up 24 points. Futures – DOW is called up 20 points, FTSE is called up 70 points. Oil is trading at $91.68 a barrel and gold at $807.60.

 The DOW traded higher for most of the session but fell in the last hour to close below the psychological 13000 level, ending the session down 55 points. The S&P closed down 14 points. The NASDAQ fell 43 points on the 200 ema. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 opened lower but did pick up during the session to close up 33 points. Futures – DOW is called up 40 points, FTSE is called down 20 points. Oil is trading at $94.65 a barrel and gold at $809.

The DOW traded lower on Friday closing the session down 223 points and below the 200 ema. The S&P fell 21 points and the NASDAQ closed down 86 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 traded higher at the open but soon started to fall off closing the session down 77 points and below the 200 ema. There was also big falls overnight in Asia with the HANG SENG falling over 1000 points, 3.50% – Futures, DOW is called down 45 points, FTSE is called down 25 points. Oil is trading at $95 a barrel and gold at $818.40.

The DOW had a day of selling but found some ground towards the close to finish the day down 33 points and showing us a big low test bar. The FTSE, writes Greg, was affected by the US as we closed the US continued to tumble causing the FTSE to gap down at the open and rally to the close and finish the day down 3 points. Futures – DOW is called down 27 FTSE called down 6 points. Oil is tradeing at 96.39 and Gold at 834.6

The DOW gapped lower at the open and kept falling, through all support levels, all day to the close, ending the session down 360 points. The DOW has now broken the neck line of the double top. The S&P dropped 44 points yesterday ending the day sat on the 200 ema. The NASDAQ fell 76 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 fell 90 points closing below the 6400 level and 200 ema. Futures – DOW is called down 60 points, FTSE is called down 85 points. Oil has pulled back from the highs and is trading at $95.90 a barrel and gold at $835.70. – UK interest rate decision due out today at 12:00.

The DOW fell at the open but rallied in late afternoon trading to close the session up 27 points leaving a low test reversal bar for Friday. With a double top forming on the DOW, watch for a break or bounce from the 13400 level. The S&P also rallied from the lows to close the session up 1 point. The NASDAQ gapped higher at the open but fell back during the session then rallied to the close to finish the session up 15 points. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped lower at the open but did find some support around the 6500 level and 50 ema to close the session down 55 points. Futures – DOW is called down 40 points, FTSE is called down 30 points. Oil is trading at $95.00 a barrel and gold at $805.20.

The DOW had a volatile session yesterday after the cut in interest rates ending the session up 137 points. The S&P added 18 points and the NASDAQ 42 points closing at a new 6 year high. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 traded lower at the open but rallied during the session closing the day up 62 points as it continues to build out an ascending triangle. Futures – DOW is called down 35 points, FTSE is called up 10 points. Oil jumped to new highs again yesterday and is now trading at $95.65 a barrel and gold is now trading at a 28 year high at $799.20.
