The DOW gapped higher at the open and continued to trade higher during the session adding 180 points on the day and finishing just under the 50 ema. The S&P added 19 and the NASDAQ added 38. The FTSE, writes Greg, 100 gapped higher at the open and had a very strong day adding 146 points and triggering a power play on the daily chart. The FTSE, writes Greg, 250 also triggered a power play as it bounced off the new trend line and setting a new higher low, both indices need to break the 50 and 200 ema’s and set higher highs to continue in this bullish direction. Futures – DOW is called down 30 points, FTSE is called down 10 points. Oil is trading at news highs at $78.25 a barrel and gold at $714.
